5K Race – Mutt Strutt Too
Race for the Animals

Come enjoy the first annual NCAL 5K Race for the Animals and Mutt Strutt Too.

Join the fun on Saturday, June 7th, 2008 at the Stowe Events Field. The course for runners and walkers is fast and flat. And for those who prefer to take a leisurely walk with their dogs, a trip around Stowe’s beautiful Quiet Path is an option.

The first annual NCAL 5K Race and Mutt Strutt Too is scheduled to kick off with runners and walkers starting out at 10 AM on a course that will take them down the Country Club Road to the Stoweflake Resort where they will loop around and return to the Events Field. Prizes will be awarded to the overall fastest man and woman and to the fastest male and female in each age category.

A new version of NCAL’s famous Mutt Strutt will have strutters setting out with their dogs on the Quiet Path 10 minutes after the 5K race begins. All runners, walkers and strutters will return to the start for a post-race awards ceremony and barbeque. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and funds for the animals of the North Country Animal League.

The entry fee for all participants is $15, which will include an event t-shirt and the barbeque. Participants are encouraged to raise additional pledges for the benefit of NCAL’s orphaned animals, and there will be prizes awarded for the most money raised by an individual in running, walking and strutting categories.

For those who are not interested in exerting themselves, but would like to join in the post race fun and barbeque, you can participate for $10 per person.

Registration prior to the event is ONLINE only and will close at 3 PM on Friday, June 6th. You can register, pledge or donate at the event starting at 8 AM on Saturday, June 7th.
