North Country Animal League's mission is to promote compassionate and responsible relationships between humans and animals.

We do this through:

NCAL is a “limited access” facility, which means we do not euthanize to make room for incoming animals. When our shelter is full, we maintain a waiting list. All animals adopted from NCAL are spayed or neutered and vaccinated. In our state of the art facility, completed in 2003, the dedicated staff gives our animals unparalleled attention and love while trying to find them loving forever homes.
