Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa

Menagerie, North Country Animal League’s biggest fundraiser of the year, was held Saturday night, Feb. 2, 2008, at the Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa at 6 p.m. This year Menagerie went to Argentina. Guests enjoyed the Latin beat as they shopped for silent auction items. Decorations transported guests to the barrio of Buenos Aires as they browsed the many wonderful prizes available for the picking. A menu of Argentina’s best dishes tickled their taste buds and put guests in the mood to be captivated by the tango performed by Carol Horwitz and Julio Otero from Studio Tango Montreal. The emcee, Stowe’s own Bobby Roberts, gave the audience a chance to bid on twelve wonderful items in a live auction. All this was followed by dancing to tunes provided by Top Hat Entertainment. It was an evening not to be missed! All proceeds went to NCAL’s orphaned animals. Mark your calendars now for next year and plan to come help our furry friends.
