North Country Animal League believes that the most effective way to halt dog and cat overpopulation is by spaying and neutering animals. Consequently, all dogs and cats at North Country Animal League are spayed or neutered before going to their new homes.

To help those who cannot afford the cost for altering their animal, North Country Animal League holds low cost spay/neuter days four times a year.

NCAL has its own spay/neuter operating room for altering on site, reducing the stress to the dogs and cats.
