Counselor in Training (CIT) Camp
June 27 - July 1
NCAL’s Counselor in Training (CIT) Camp is for kids ages 12+ who are looking for more hands-on experience at the Equine Center and want to contribute in a positive way to North Country Animal League, while also honing their horsemanship and riding skills. The CIT Camp is for those who have previously taken part in NCAL Equine Center camps or lesson programs and wish to become Junior Counselors (16+), or Counselors (17+) in our summer camp program in the future.
CIT Camp is a full day camp, where CITs take part in caring for the North Country Equine Center’s 20+ horses throughout the day, through completing tasks that are overseen by a staff instructor. CITs help instruct younger campers in horsemanship and riding, and as a group learn advanced horsemanship techniques through daily demonstrations and practice. CITs participate in daily riding and instruction along with their peers.
