Mutt Strutt is back!!! Mark Saturday, August 19th on your calendar! Mutt Strutt is the chance to celebrate our community’s shared love of dogs and help raise awareness for those deserving pets who don’t have homes. Taking place at the Events Field in Stowe, Mutt Strutt will bring hundreds of animal lovers together from Lamoille County and beyond to raise public awareness and understanding about the needs of homeless pets and to raise money to support NCAL’s adoption programs, transfer program, humane education, spay/neuter initiatives, and community outreach.
Comprised of a half-day packed with many fun, family and pet-friendly activities, Mutt Strutt will feature a 2-mile town loop walk with contests and prizes for costumes, fundraising, and creative team entries. The walk will be followed by a festival in the Stowe Events Field featuring an assortment of activities for all ages including a kids corner, a raffle of exciting prizes, fun exhibitions, a grooming/bathing station, pet massage, microchip and nail trimming clinic, adoption booth, a pet cartoonist, vendor city, and of course adoption of NCAL animals. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers, human-canine look-alike, best costume, best pet trick, longest sit-stay, biggest dog, smallest dog, oldest dog, and more! You won’t want to miss it!
Registering for the walk is easy and a great (and fun) way to help the animals! Individuals and teams can register online at https://www.firstgiving.com/16824/mutt-strutt-2017. For more information about Mutt Strutt and how to register, visit www.ncal.com, or call Tracy at (802) 888-5065 x 106.
