NCAL Summer Camps
Our summer camp programs aim to create young ambassadors to be voices for animals in our community and beyond by giving them tools of information, understanding, empathy and respect. Upon completion of program, participating children take away what they learn and model behaviors to their friends and family, thus helping us spread our message and creating a more compassionate community. NCAL is committed to providing humane education programs in recognition of the fact that a mind we help shape today is one who will help us create a better tomorrow. All our sessions will take place at our shelter location in Morrisville, VT. We will be offering two different categories of summer camps:
1) Humane Heroes Camp:
Children will be provided with an opportunity to unplug and connect with the amazing world of animals as they experience 5 days of exciting animal interactions and summer camp activities, including interactive animal-themed games, exciting field trips, demonstrations by experts from the field, hands-on projects to help support our animals and much more! We firmly believe that by teaching today’s youth about animal rights, protection and ethics, and how they can take action to make the world a better place, children become empowered change-makers of tomorrow. Our programs incorporate curriculum that teach respect, responsibility and empathy, while helping children develop critical thinking and decision-making skills based on compassion, tolerance and integrity. In essence, it sets learners upon a valuable life path, based on firm moral values.
