NCAL’s Equine Center provides horsemanship and horseback riding instruction with the safety, happiness, and well-being of students and horses being of primary concern.
NCAL offers the following at our Equine Center:

Riding and Horsemanship Programs & Camps
North Country Animal League’s Equine Center provides group horsemanship and horseback riding lessons for all ages and abilities. Our group lessons are geared towards building strong fundamentals at all levels while fostering a relationship based on respect and trust between horse and rider. With a focus on the English riding discipline, our experienced instructors will work with each rider to help them build confidence in and out of the saddle and foster a respect and responsibility with our equine companions.
Group lessons are offered in multi-week long sessions throughout the year. In the warmer months, lessons will take place either in our outdoor sand arena or large grass riding field, while on inclement days or during the colder-weather months, lessons will take place in or our spacious indoor riding arena.
Boarding
Being one of the few equine facilities in the area, boarding space is very limited, and very rarely does a stall become available. When the opportunity arises, we take into account our program needs, turnout needs, and the health and well-being of our current horses when making decisions. If you are interested in boarding your horse at our facility please take the time to complete our Boarding Interest Form. The information you provide will help us determine the best match for any available stalls.
Do you rescue horses?
Unfortunately, our Equine Center is not set up to take in rescue horses at this time. Our facility does not have the required isolation areas to support rescues while protecting the horses living here already. However, there are a couple of established organizations in Vermont that may be able to help you:
How can I get involved?
