North Country Animal League is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue organization. As a private non-profit, our life-saving programs that allow us to take, nurture and find forever homes for over 600 homeless animals each year, heavily depend on public generosity. All our shelter and adoption programs, educational initiatives, and our spay/neuter programs are made possible THANKS TO YOU! Donations are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines. We also have specific funds that provide integral support to our life-saving programs. To learn more about them, please choose from the links listed here:

Other Ways to Contribute:

Monetary Donations

North Country Animal League relies heavily on private donations, no matter how big or how small, to help the animals in need in our community. Every dollar we raise goes directly towards supporting our life-saving programs that allows us to provide qualitative care for our cats and dogs.

Become a Loyal Friend (Recurring Monthly Donations)

North Country Animal League’s Loyal Friends support our work throughout the year with recurring gifts. To learn more about this program, please email: info@ncal.com or complete the donation form below and indicate your interest to become a Loyal Friend in the appropriate section.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Sometimes, people choose to make a gift in honor of a beloved pet, a loved one who has passed away, or in recognition of a special occasion such as a birthday, wedding, or holiday. When such gifts are made, we will send notification to the recipient or family members telling them of your thoughtful memorial or honorary gift. To learn more about this program, please email: info@ncal.com or complete the donation form below.

In-kind Donations

To help reduce cost, we rely on donations of supplies to care for our animals. View our Amazon wishlist HERE for a list of regularly needed shelter supplies.

Planned Giving

Legacies are personal and powerful, and we are honored when we are part of them. A planned gift to North Country Animal League is one very important and effective way you can leave a legacy and help support our mission. Charitable legacy giving is free of federal gift and estate taxes. There are many ways to leave a gift. The most common is through a will. Others are a living trust, an annuity or a life insurance gift. To choose a plan that is right for you, consult your estate planner, financial adviser, lawyer, or NCAL, and we will guide you to the right resource person. To inform NCAL of such a gift, please send an email to info@ncal.com.

Payroll Deduction

Another way to give is to give weekly or monthly automatically through a Payroll Deduction Plan. The amount you indicate is subtracted from your salary and sent to NCAL. A gift of $1 a week or $5 a week adds up to gifts of $52 or $260 a year. A Planned Giving Gift can be automatically sent to NCAL from your bank account each month. Please send an email to info@ncal.com for more information and to sign up.

Matching Gift

Many companies will match employee and retiree contributions to nonprofit organizations like North Country Animal League.  You may be able to double the impact of your gift by contacting your company’s human resources department to obtain a matching gift form. Please enclose the appropriate form with your donation. We will do the rest. Please send an email to info@ncal.com for more information and to sign up.

A gift of appreciated stocks or mutual funds is tax deductible at full fair market value at the time of the gift with no capital gains tax. Most donors find this is a way to make a more generous gift than might be possible otherwise. Please send an email to info@ncal.com for more information and to sign up.
