We are thrilled that you are interested in horseback riding lessons at the Equine Center!

We take pride in emphasizing fundamental skills to build strong, independent riders with a solid foundation. At the Equine Center, we teach the English riding style on a variety of school horses. Our instructors work with each individual student to foster their personal growth both in and out of the saddle. Our Community Riding Lessons include basic horsemanship skills including grooming and tacking up your horse for each lesson to help build well-rounded riders. The North Country Equine Center’s riding lesson program is the perfect place to begin your journey with horses or to continue your riding education. In addition to our Community Riding Lessons, we offer additional programs including Pony Club, Summer Camps, Afterschool Programs, Homeschool Programs, and more!

Lessons Waitlist

Starting this spring we will be scheduling lessons in a new format to better accommodate the varying skill levels of our riders while taking into consideration horse availability and daily horse care needs. If you are interested in taking lessons with us, please complete the Riding Lesson Waitlist form. We will use this waitlist to offer available lesson times based on the availability you indicate. We are currently scheduling lessons starting in May!

Our riding lesson program has been very popular since its beginning and we do our best to accommodate as many participants as possible. Our instructors will work with you to find a weekly lesson day & time that you can plan on each week for the full season (spring, fall & winter). Our Community Riding Lessons are not offered during the summer months while our Summer Camp programs are scheduled. If you are on our waitlist, and we have a lesson cancellation we may reach out to you to offer a single lesson while we continue to keep you in line for a regularly scheduled lesson.

If you have any questions about our lesson program, please email us at riding@ncal.com
