NCAL Medical Fund

Each year, North Country Animal League takes in homeless cats and dogs who have needs that surpass our budget for basic care.

In situations like these, we turn to our Medical Fund, which is replenished through donations from caring friends like you who want to help vulnerable animals in need of non-routine and urgent medical care. The Medical Fund covers a range of specialized care including diagnostics, treatment programs, and surgeries for conditions such as injuries, viruses, and infections.

Animals receiving medical care can remain with us for as long as they need while being prepared for adoption. When they are ready to go home, their new families are counseled and given resources and support to finish a treatment plan or manage an ongoing condition if needed. The Medical Fund is a critical resource that helps save lives and improve quality of life for rescued animals. Without the Medical Fund, we would have been unable to help animals like Crawford, just one among hundreds of animals that are supported through this fund each year.
