Partner Spotlight: Adoptable Animals from Rescue Friends
The animals on this page are currently available for adoption through other rescues (unless marked “Adopted,” “On Hold,” or “Pending”). They are not in NCAL’s care. We’re cross-promoting them on behalf of trusted partner organizations because we believe in the power of collaboration—and sometimes all an animal needs is a fresh audience to find their home.
How to inquire:
- Contact the owning organization directly. Each animal’s card includes who to contact and how (website, email, phone, application link).
- Please do not submit an NCAL application for these animals—NCAL cannot process applications, schedule meet-and-greets, or collect fees on their behalf.
- Policies, fees, medical and behavior details are provided and managed by the partner rescue. Availability may change at any time.
Thank you for helping us widen the circle of care. Every share and inquiry brings these animals one step closer to home.
MEET CALLIE
Fostered in Stowe, Vermont
Callie’s story touched our hearts, and we couldn’t resist sharing her story with you.
She was sadly left behind when her family moved out. Thankfully, her kind landlord brought her to American Lab Rescue (ALR), where she’s now safe in a foster home, right here in Stowe.
Great around people, kids, other dogs, and cats, Callie loves to go for her daily walks. She is an athletic girl who loves to run in the fields or go exploring in the woods. She doesn’t bark much except when she sees her leash and knows it is time for her daily stroll. She loves to play with her fluffy toys and chase her ball. Callie is a cuddle bug and enjoys being with people as much as she can. Callie is so cute when she sleeps, and imagine waking up with this affectionate dog next to you on her back with all 4 paws in the air!
Callie has an adventurous streak, always ready to explore new sights, smells, and experiences with an unwavering enthusiasm. Whether she is frolicking in the yard, soaking up the sun’s rays, or enjoying a ride in the car, Callie’s zest for life is infectious. A smart girl, Callie, knows basic commands such as sit, paw, lay down, and speak. Callie has started formal dog training. The trainer is very excited about her and her capabilities. Callie will continue to blossom and thrive as she learns new things.
Please note: Callie is not an NCAL dog. We are cross-promoting her on behalf of ALR. If you’re interested in adopting or learning more, please connect directly with American Lab Rescue here >>
