Contract Veterinarian – Spay/Neuter Clinics (Paid Hourly)

Overview:

North Country Animal League (NCAL) is expanding our veterinary services to better serve pets and families in our community. We are seeking local veterinarians who are passionate about animal welfare and interested in joining our team.

NCAL is looking for a contract veterinarian to lead our growing spay/neuter (S/N) program. This position will help us offer S/N clinics up to twice per month at our shelter in Morrisville.

Responsibilities:

Perform spay/neuter surgeries for community cats during scheduled clinic days – we hope to expand this service to dogs in the near future
Provide high-quality, compassionate care to all patients
Work collaboratively with NCAL’s staff and vet techs to ensure efficient and safe clinic operations

Compensation: Paid hourly, commensurate with experience.

Schedule: Flexible, up to two or three clinic days per month.

Volunteer Veterinarian – Community Wellness Clinics

Overview:

In addition to surgery clinics, NCAL offers affordable wellness clinics to help community members access preventative care for their pets. We are seeking local veterinarians who would like to “give back” by volunteering just two hours a month.

Responsibilities:

Provide basic wellness exams and preventative care
Support NCAL’s mission to make veterinary care accessible to all pet owners in our community

Commitment: 2 hours/month (or more if desired).

Contract Veterinary Technicians – Spay/Neuter Clinics (Paid Hourly)

Overview:

We are looking for vet techs to support our spay/neuter clinics.

Responsibilities:

Assist with pre-op and post-op animal care
Monitor anesthesia and recovery
Maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and the cleanliness of the surgery area
Provide compassionate handling of animals throughout the day

Compensation: Paid hourly, commensurate with experience.

Schedule: Flexible, up to two or three clinic days per month.
