Dog Training Program

Join North Country Animal League’s six-week dog training classes starting on May 11, 2024!

Each class only has eight spots available and runs for approximately 1 hour, conducted by the highly experienced Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Steph Du Preez, with over 15 years of expertise, particularly in shelter and adopted dogs.

Life Skills 101 Class

Open to dogs 4 months old (at the start of class) and up. Bring them to Life Skills 101 and watch them thrive as they work on real-life skills that help them succeed in their home and in public.

Six weeks, starting on May 16. This class is held on Thursday Evenings at 5:00 PM Our Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and professional dog trainer, Steph Du Preez, guides you and your dog through an engaging and educational program, establishing a solid behavioral foundation for a happy and healthy life.

Life-Skills 201 Class

Working with Distractions- open to graduates of our Life Skills 101 Class or with permission of instructor. Building on leash walking skills, settling in public, coming when called, appropriate greetings, and more. Class will take place mostly outdoors, weather permitting.

Six weeks starting on May 11th. This class is held on Saturday Mornings at 9:30 AM. Designed to help your canine companion be their best self, addressing foundational skills and enhancing their overall well-being.
