At North Country Animal League, we believe no one should have to face hardship alone, especially not without their beloved pets. That’s why we’re proud to announce HABIT, our new initiative dedicated to keeping pets and people together through every season of life.

HABIT unites several critical programs under one compassionate mission — to ensure that every pet and every family in our community has access to the care, resources, and support they need to stay together.

Animal Safety Net Program

Vermont Pet Support Program

If you or someone you know is facing hardship, such as domestic violence, homelessness, or recovery from substance misuse, our program provides temporary housing and care for pets when families need time to rebuild. (Availability is limited and dependent on shelter capacity.)

Vermont Dog Training Classes

Dog Training & Behavior Consultations

One-on-one sessions will support dogs struggling with challenges such as reactivity, fear, aggression, or anxiety.
