About Atlas

Atlas is a big boy who loves to play and snuggle! When given the option, he chooses toys over treats, and is always ready for playtime. He is good walking on a leash, and would make a great running or walking buddy. Atlas would love an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and interaction with his owners. He will make a great companion and you will never have a dull moment with Atlas around! This affectionate boy sometimes needs a little encouragement from his humans in new situations, but once he is comfortable, his exuberant and goofy personality comes out. Atlas would do best as the only dog living in the home and can be forward when he meets other dogs in general. He would do great with a confident dog handler that can further Atlas’s basic obedience training and also provide him a life of adventure. Since Atlas is an energetic young dog that has been in the kennel environment for some time, he will need a transition period and some time to decompress in his new home. We think he would do really well with a routine set right away to help ease his transition. If you are interested in providing a forever home for Atlas, please submit an adoption questionnaire below.

History with Dogs/Cats/Children

Dogs: Atlas will need to be the only dog living in the home and he may take time to warm up to other dogs that he meets.

Cats: Unknown history with cats. He has shown a bit of prey drive while walking outside on leash.

Children: Atlas is energetic and can be bouncy and jumpy. He doesn’t know how big he is and may jump on children or accidentally bump them over, especially wen he is playing or excited. He has met a few children at NCAL and seems to enjoy being around them.
