Gentle-giant Mirky was a high-level show horse, competing in over 120 hunter/jumper shows throughout his career and was most recently a team horse for the Cornell Equestrian Team. At 20 years old, it was determined that Mirky needed a semi-retirement home – a change of pace from his strenuous show life. Here at NCAL, Mirky has quickly become a favorite.

With care and management to meet his needs as a senior, Mirky is now living his best semi-retirement life. He is an active participant in our lesson and camp programs, teaching both young and adult riders of all different abilities, and enjoys hours of daily turn out on pastures with his horse friends.

Know someone who would love to show Mirky some appreciation for being a wonderful teacher to our community’s horse enthusiasts? Give the gift of sponsorship today.
