Hector is an incredibly sweet feline who was found as a stray and brought into NCAL in rough condition. Extremely malnourished and covered in fleas, ticks, and maggots, Hector required immediate medical intervention to save his life.

After a few weeks at NCAL, receiving nourishment and medical treatment, Hector was all cleaned up, putting on weight, and feeling much better. He is now in a foster home where he is safe and well cared for until he is adopted.

Hector’s particular story of rescue, medical care, and placement into a loving home is unique to him, yet this type of story is repeated hundreds of times a year with different animals in crisis. They each come to us needing shelter, medical care, and love. Each of their stories, each of their lives, are precious.
