Calling all dog walkers, cat cuddlers, laundry whizzes, event organizers and general worker bees. North Country Animal League can’t exist without your help! Each year, more than 250 volunteers donate their time to help care for the animals at NCAL. We are so grateful to these individuals who donate their time and skills with the shared goal of helping to better the lives of our shelter animals.

Opportunities in our Shelter:

  • NCAL holds volunteer orientations twice per quarter. Pre-registration is required. There is a maximum of 12 participants per orientation. If a session is not listed in the drop down menu, it is full. Please select another available session from the list.

Come find your next best friend!

To date, North Country Animal League has taken in, cared for, and found homes for over 11,000 homeless animals. Connecting humans with animals is what we do best - whether it be through adoptions, education and outreach, or volunteer opportunities.
